From October 14 to 16, Orlando, Florida, brought the global produce industry together at the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show 2026, and SiCar Farms was there. These were days to reconnect with customers and partners, showcase what we grow, and learn from the people who move fresh produce from the field to the shelf.
Two new additions: guava and avocado
The big news this year was the addition of guava and avocado to our portfolio. They bring two more categories to what we offer our customers, grown with the same care at origin that defines the rest of our products.
What we brought to Orlando
- Citrus: Persian lime, Key lime, Italian lemon and orange.
- Tropicals: pineapple, papaya, trimmed coconut and green coconut.
- More from the field: jicama and aloe vera.
- Pepper program: jalapeño, serrano, habanero and Anaheim, plus tomatillo.
Before the doors opened
On Wednesday, starting at 10 a.m., our team began setting up the booth. It’s the part few people see, but it says a lot about how we work: every detail in place so that visitors would find our products just as they leave the farm.
The Mexico Pavilion, with mariachi music
On Thursday at noon, IFPA CEO Cathy Burns opened the Mexico Pavilion. The ceremony featured live mariachi music and was a chance to celebrate our roots in front of the international industry. Being part of the pavilion reminds us that behind every box there is a country, a field and the people who work it.
Learning across the supply chain: The Global Study Tour
On Tuesday, October 13, ahead of the show, we joined The Global Study Tour, a pre-show experience hosted in partnership with Sprouts Farmers Market. We visited FreshPoint Central Florida’s distribution center and Sprouts stores to see firsthand:
- Warehouse operations and inventory flow.
- Retail execution and fresh department best practices.
- Merchandising strategies that drive shopper engagement.
- How customer engagement is built across the supply chain.
Seeing how produce is handled in the final stretch, from warehouse to shelf, helps us better understand what our customers need from us at origin.
